"The keyboard will drop characters if i leave it idle for more than a few seconds, probably a power savings setting that needs to be tweaked so it'll either wake up faster or wait much longer before powering down."
I have the same issue. Yesterday I had to do a factory reset, and the problem seems to be no more. In the coming days I'll give you confirmation.

i bought my switch yesterday and i already had to struggle with the stucked windows button twice, is there any working fix for that already? or at least some fix that turns off the windows button? (i know it's not a solution but when it happens it destroys my work completely and the only thing i can do is a reboot which make this tablet useless atm
)

No working ffix yet and changes are their won't be one.
However, you can do the following.
If narrator starts wait asecond and press the volume up button again. This should close the narrrator which make it usable again (dont press windows or volume keys and change the volume using the charms bar.)
You can also prevent the narrator from launches using a registeru key. You can find a link using google or somewhere in this topic. This would mean that a stuck button disables the functionality of the volume rockers, windows logo and power button and you will have to make do with the software possibilities of windows.
I't's no sollution but you won't have to turn of the tablet pc and loose your work.
Good luck.

My Switch 10 Status Update:
After a month of repairs with Best Buy Geek Squad (yes, they were very slow on this) they changed the motherboard twice, the SSD, the Wifi Card (because in addition to the Win-button issue I started having packet drops), and they made a full restore from media they got from Acer, today they decided that they could not repair the tablet and approved a replacement. I will now see if they will provide another make or model of tablet since I do not want another switch; or another Acer for that matter. Acer service and response (or lack of) have been the worse I have ever received, and I already started pushing all of my customers and friends away from Acer. They used to be great back when the AspireOne, but it has gone very bad with newer hardware.
I hope the best luck to all of you still hoping for a recall or repair, I do not think it will be comming, and I will try all I can to avoind getting another Acer now.
I hope someone up the management chain reads this thread and make the right decision.

has anyone faced a problem that when you move your headphones jack a little keyboard and touchpad turn off and you have to replug the tablet to docking station? tbh i am fairly disapointed with my acer if i could i would return it to shop :/ i like it overall very much but those few "bugs" i have faced since i got it are just to frustrating for a new device

I'm from the Philippines. I recently bought my Switch 10 last week and so far(GOD FORBID!) i have not encountered the button issue y'all are talking about. I pressed the button many times accompanied with the volume rocker and i dont see any problem with it.
Although i encountered a freeze ONCE while listening to music via headphone jack.

Heheh, so if that means what I think it does you have found the cause! Anyone who says 'it never happens to me' has it happen. ![]()
[I've had mine about a week now, and 'it never happens to me'. Just testing...]
