I finally found a 40 dollar ( 12 volt ) 3 pronged plug for my car marked down for 15 dollars and it has a built in USB as well. Works like a charm. Might have to rig something direct to the battery. As it only works while the car is on. I want it to charge while I'm out of the car ( in the store or visting etc for a time period )

I think he is talking about one of these. I have a 140W one. That way you can use the original charger as a power filter. I would not want to connect a 12v tablet directly to an automotive 12v system. Too many surges and to much noise.

It appears that the power connector is unique to Iconia W510 and 511. Has anyone found a 3rd party adapter or connector which will work? How does anyone charge their tablet in the car?

When on 12v, I find one of these very useful.
