Hello I had this Acer Iconia W510 for a few months no problem then all of a sudden it wont charge anymore. I checked the battery icon on the sys tray and it says no battery detected. I'm pretty sure there's a battery in there :-) Any ideas to resolve this? I uninstalled the two battery drivers/reinstalled, then full factory reset, checked out the BIOS, nothing there is helpful but I did a reset to defaults and no luck with any of it. I also tried another charging adapter.
I really hope this isn't a hardware issue because I can't find my receipt...

hi..
You may check your tablet BIOS version and if it is not updated to version 2.0, you may update it.
Here's the weblink : BIOS version 2.0
Let us know if you need further assistance with this issues. We will be happy to help.

Most likely you either had a wiring failure or a battery failure. Does the charger get hot ?

It does not get hot. I don't mind opening it up and check the wiring but I don't see any guides out there to take this thing apart and I dont want to completly break this just to take a look

If it is still under warrenty (contact Acer) then you would be better off sending it in. Once you open the case (and is non trivial) the warrenty is void.
