acer gn246hl drivers for windows 10

Just bought a Acer gn246hl monitor and now think its the worst thing i have ever done

Running a windows machine and obviously only bought it due to it being able to run at 144hz

but Windows will not reconize the monitor and just runs it as a genetic one, my son has a Hp monitor and windows finds that straight away, as windows will not find my Acer (due to i am guessing no Drivers for Windows 10) it means I might as well just bought a cheaper monitor as it will not allow me to choose 144hz

and i could live with that but whAT MAKES THIS ALL COMPLETELY WORST IS i AM getting the "no signal" problem

9 times out of 10 the computer will not start up because it says no signal, and looking on the internet it is a very common problem with Acer monitors, so wished i hadn t bought one

If anyone can help please do

brand new computer, with a monitor that hardly ever starts due to the no signal bug and if it does start no drivers so i cannot choose 144hz really don t think this monitor is fit for purpose

Type of connection matters. HDMI only gives me 60HZ but DVI and Dport give me 144HZ.

You need to make sure that ur graphics card is strong enough to support 144hz and also u need the correct cable to display above 60 fps. Only a DVI Dual link cable and displayport support 144hz at 1080p. Also i am pretty sure u need to turn off 3d mode on acer gn246hl to get 144hz at 1080p. Might be wrong about this tho. Check the user manual for more info

If you go into Nvidia Control Panel it will be listed with the correct model #. Windows however will only show it to be a Generic PnP Monitor. No driver update necessary to achieve 144hz. I am running 2 Acer GN246HL and they are amazing.
