Windows 10 asks for product id

in 2015 Archives

when installing the full version of windows 10 on my v5. windows asks for the product id. it shouldn't do that. any product id i can find on the system starts with zeros. windows 10 says id can't start with zeros. what do i do. i can install windows 10 on my computer at all

    you can skip the product key steps but you will not have an authorized windwos 10; the right steps was to update first to windows, so you old product key can be switched to the new windows 10 product key and tied to your machine.

     

    So every time you will re-install from scratch (reset or clean install), you can skip product key steps and have windows 10 authorized.

     

    but you do a clean install without updating first, you can't use windows 7-8.x product key to install but only windows 10 product keys.
