Broadcom 820.11n app won't work in Windows 10 message

I upgraded Aspire V5 571P months ago and it has been working well.  About a week ago I started getting this message on startup in notifications. The device driver says it has the latest driver and it is working properly. I even tried a newer driver. It says install is not finished in the events. It connects my wifi and works until I try to get back to Edge by clicking on the tray icon which hangs up my computer. It seems like it is partially installed.

Is there a way to get it working completely again.

You should be able to refresh Windows 10 to restore the default settings without losing data. This may resolve your issue. You can use the instructions on http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/37335.

Not sure what you mean by refresh Windows. Refresh is not a term used by Windows.  I have restored back to before they touched the Broadcom Network Adapter(yes it shows they changed the program on last 2 updates) and all was well until Windows did an automatic update again and I get the same message. I can print again with my wifi printer which it had knocked out before and I am on the internet but it doeswork slowere than it did.

When i try to update drivers I get thee message that I am up to date nd troubleshooting says all is well.  In my device manager events the network adapter does not complete installation and that is alli can dind that is not right.

I cannot keep restoring my system and then windows updates and messes it up again.

I cannot see the article you linked to. It says permission denied.

    Nancy,

Sorry, you are correct. Refresh is the term Microsoft used in Windows 8. In Windows 10 I think they call it a reset with retaining user data. It looks like the link did now work because there was a period on the end. You can try the link below.

It seems like Windows update is loading a driver that is messing it up. You can disable Windows 10 automatically loading drivers using instructions from the third party website linked below.

For several things I have had to uninstall and delete the installed driver then use the one from the Acer support site  for 8 or 8.1 to get the peripheral to work again. One thing I dislike about Win 10 is the automagic updates. Have had things just stop working before and then find an update in the history that caused it.
