    Hello,

Could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

You lost me on this. What would heatsink models have to do with installling a i5 or i7.

    Hello,

This model is/was shipped with heatsinks of 65 or 95 watts (dissipated thermal power).

Yours has actually an Intel I3-4130 and a thermal design power of 54 watts. May be you have a heatsink of 65 watts.

In this case, this one will be under dimensioned to I5 or I7 stated of 84 watts. Overheating...

You'll find a white sticker indicating the part number on the heatsink.

Could you give me this part number? Thanks.

I'm not computer savvy so I wouldn't know where to look. I have never had the case opened to see what's inside. If this could be done I would most likely take this to a computer shop to have done, someone who knows what they are doing. I was just wondering if it could be done and what would I gain by doing this.
