Acer Veriton N2620G, wireless has vanished... drivers?

I basically upgraded to Windows 10 right out of the box, and two days after install, it looks like a Windows update has wiped out the wifi on the computer. Before rolling back with System Restore, I was wondering if there were wifi drivers for the Veriton N2620G I could try using. At this point I'm not sure if the wifi has actually failed or if it's a Windows 10 Update that's caused the failure.

Plugging it into the router directly wouldn't be impossible, but a tremendous annoyance.

    Try this drivers version:

click on download, unzip the file and install

No yoy -- the system can't find the wireless card. Even rolling the install back to a fresh install doesn't seem to do any good... the driver installer says that the device can't be found. I'm running off a USB wifi adapter for now, but I can't figure out is this is a fundemental failure of the wifi card, or what.

    Windows logo key + x
click on Device manager, click on View and choose Show hidden devices

Is any Yellow exclamation mark present?

    if so
    double click on it
    choose "Details" tab
    from dropdown menu, select HardwareIDs
click on the first value and copy/paste it here

check also under Network adapters if your wifi adapter is listed as disconnected or hidden

Weirder and weirder... it turns up in Device Manager (under Network Adapters, once Show Hidden is active), but is greyed out (deactivated), but upder Properties says

"Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."

    !st value under HardwareIds is

    PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0034&SUBSYS_662111AD&REV_01

Any luck resolving this? I have three Veriton 2660G machines with the same problem.

if you right click the wifi adapter, are you able to select uninstall?

can you please check the BIOS version of your system?

    windows key logo + r

    type

    msinfo32

    check BIOS version/Date
