vn7 591g model with no hdd sata ssd install

hello,

i have a acer aspire vn7-591g-748z

it is a model with a 250gb m.2 ssd and no hdd.

i chose this model becouse i didn't wanned a hdd only ssd.

since there was no model with bigger capacity i want to install the 2.5 inch sata ssd myself.

in wich they switch the hdd to a ssd but since i dont have a hdd i was wondering if it still was possible to install a 2.5 inch ssd

becouse there is a little cable that connects the sata port to the mobo and i was wondering if acer was so kind to include it inside my laptop since there is now nothing plugged in there.

i'm just not so happy to order a ssd and then open my laptop to find that the cable is not there.

if the cable is indeed not there is there a way to order it online?

Hi,

Well you will need to open your notebook to check for yourself if you have the cable, but I doubt that you have it because without a HDD the connector would hang randomly in the notebook.

A good idea is to go to an Acer service center in your area, and there I am sure that they can provide you with this part.

For sure somebody from the forum has access to the service manual of the notebook and can tell you the part number and you could try to search for it on ebay for example.
