I have an Aspire  V3-571G and am making long-lasting single-threaded calculations with Mathematica, which does not take into account hyperthreading (HT). So turning HT off would nearly double the speed. However, in the BIOS there is no option to do so. I had BIOS version 2.15 installed and upgraded to 2.21. However, still no option. What can I do? Is there a tool to turn HT off and on from inside Windows 7? Or is it possible to install another BIOS version that has this option? Or is there an option in the older version 1.13? However, the flash software does not allow me to downgrade the version... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HT can be disabled on BIOS only, so if the option is missing....
