I have only had my acer aspire v3 771g 6814 for about 18 months. recently it has been shutting down afer 5 minutes. I took it to a technician and he said it's not a fan problem  because the processor isn't over heating. so is there a way to fix this? I can't send it back because the warranty has expired

Thank you, does the issue occur:

    • only while on battery
    • only while plugged in to A.C.
    • both
    • Is there and event being listed ib the "System" event log concerning the issue
    • Has there been any recent hardware changes, i.e. new memory, harddrive etc.

It happens when both battery and a.c is plugged in and there have been no hardware changes
