Hi,

i have reinstalled my windows 8.1 on an SSD. Everything is working fine but the camera. I doesnt get recognized. Not even in the hardware manager.

Updating to Windows 10 fixed the camera problem but its to unstable so I reverted back to 8.1

Is there any way to fix? I have tried so many different drivers.

Cheers,

Christian

Hi thanks for the advice. But I finally managed to fix the problem. On of the USB-connections was not connected and it seems that it was the connection to the camera.

    Cheers

    Nahsom,

If you had use of the camera in Windows 10, but it was unstable, I would recommend that you uninstall it and let Windows 10 try to install drivers to see if it becomes stable.

But thats the point that I dont have windows 10 because the OS is still too buggy for me and I still want to use the camera in Windows 8.1

    Nahsom,

Ah, I understand. I thought that you were saying the webcam was too unstable, not referring to the operating system itself. LoL

It sounds like you have changed the configuration a little bit, which is fine, did it work before you did so? I presume that you used the recovery media you created with the recovery partition to reinstall, so the drivers should have installed correctly. I do not see that we have any listed on our downloads site, have you checked the recovery partition to see if the drivers for the camera are listed under reinstall applications and drivers? If it is not there it might be because it is using Windows drivers by default.
