Hello,

I hope that somebody can help me.

I've changed a cooler in my laptop, because it was so noisy.

After that my touchpad stopped working. First i thought that I damaged the flat cable, so I bought a new one,

but nothing happened. After that I bought a new touch pad, and it still didn't work.

Also it isn't showed in the Device manager (and also not as an unknown device), in the Windows 10 settings and mouse properties. I tried several Synaptics drivers (Win 10, 8 and the generic from Synaptics site).

The Windows 10 are in Uefi mode.

So it looked as a more serious hw problem, but then I tried a portable Linux version via legacy boot, and the touch pad worked.

It even works when I boot into Dos via Hirens Boot CD. But strangely it doesn't work when I boot into portable Win 7 or Win XP.

And of course I tried Fn+F7, disconnected or reset the battery.

An interesting thing is that after the battery reset, the cursor is shown in the center of the screen, bu it can't be moved, nor is the touchpad shown in the device manager. After the next restart, the cursor is gone.

Does anybody has an idea? It's pretty annoying! Thank you!
