V5-571P screen hinge

Hi All,

I've had my Aspire V5-571P for a while and I love it.

However with heavy use over the last few years, naturally the screen hinges suffer a little bit. My predicament is that the hinge is fine, but the actual connection (be it glue, or screws) between the screen and the case have become worn and eroded, to the point where the hinges can only support the screen at a certain angle.

Picture (not sure why its rotated..):

So the top of that hinge would usually be connected or welded in some way to the screen casing. My question is what do I need to do to fix it, and am I able to order any parts so that I can install it manually myself?

Thanks.

    Hello,

You'll need this part to repair your laptop:

    Hi! Thanks for the reply!

So will the hinge-y bit have the appropriate adhesive surface on it to successfully hold my screen up and return it to working order?

    Thanks.
