I have this machine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009CQNPWS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought it back at the end of 2012 after having lived out two Dell XPS systems.  I LOVE my Acer.  The problem started when my hard drive died a week ago.  I pulled everything off and reimaged it and started receiving errors immediately that the hard drive was bad.  SO...I bought a new one.  Only this one was 750GB, same speed, etc and it's a SATA.  It was the only one I could find.  I bought it here: http://www.laptoppartsexpert.com/i-20773459-acer-aspire-v5-571p-ms2361-hard-drive-replacement-9-5mm-1tb-serial-ata-3-0-5400rpm-hybrid-sshd.html?gclid=CjwKEAjw-IOwBRD1wrTC27fSjFISJABUDZ17qSPqZthtqNbujvlRp3akQVUc1FQOmD0nsZXhdUmMIBoCzyvw_wcB

Installation when flawlessly as did the Windows 8 installation and system drivers.  The problem is now it takes me forever to do get anything done.  Everytime I click on something or open a window (Windows Explorer, Microsoft, Chrome, etc) it takes forever to load.  I already know the graphics card sucks on this machine and it's the reason I will never be able to upgrade it to Windows 10.  I also know it's integrated which means I can't upgrade the card without essentially replacing the rest of the internals.

Does anyone have an idea on how I can upgrade without replacing the whole unit?  Is it even worth it?  Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

OH, and I've already partitioned off and reassigned part of the hard drive's primary partition to decrease the space the processor has to look for data, etc.
