USB port issue on Aspire V17

Having an issue with the USB ports on my new V17 Nitro. They work properly, since they recognized my mouse key and my phone, but they're not recognizing a Flash drive that I use on a daily basis and which is recognized by other machines. Is there something inherent to the V17 or to Windows 10 that prevents that without some extra step? I find that hard to believe, since a phone is essentially an external drive that could pose the same security issues, but I'm not sure what else to think at the moment. Little help?

Thanks.

Since it works with everything else, there is just something about that flash drive that it doesn't like.

Try copying the data on the drive to a file, format the drice, replace the data and try again.
