Touchpad problems on Acer Aspire VN7-572G-72LO

I got a touchpad problem on my new Acer Aspire VN7-572G-72LO. The cursor suddenly begins to jump around not reacting to user interaction anymore. I then have to deactivate and reactive the touchpad using FN+F7 - but that's not what I'm expecting from a new laptop.

What I did so far is to update the touchpad driver to version 19.0.7.34.

This made things better but the problem still persists, occurring less often though.

Any ideas on this?

Regards

    Meandron,

I find it strange that the random jumping around stops after disabling the touchpad and enabling it again, that function is there to prevent "interaction" with the touchpad from being performed.

Honestly, you might want to see about having it inspected by the local Acer repair center since you have already updated the driver. Smiley Frustrated

Problem is solved: I sent the notebook to Acer's Repair Center. They replaced the touchpad and the new one is working without problems.

    Great support - thanks a lot :-)!
