Hello.

I am not laptop or tech savvy at all. But I hope I can get the problem accross.

I have a pretty much brand new Acer Aspire V3 574 that this week has started blue screening and with this message (see attached photo), it started once a day, yesterday it did three times. All very random.

I don't believe it is over heating, it has not been damaged or anything downloaded/installed that I can think would cause this. It's basically like new.

If you can't quite see in the photo it say:

'If you'd like to konw more, you can search online later for this error.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (Qcamainx64.sys)

The two programmes I have installed is Ableton 9 Suite & Norton Internet Security. I have read three different answers now and I have NO CLUE. Someone said something to do with Wifi Drivers? Someone said something to do with Norton? Someone else said 'Refresh PC' in PC settings could refresh driver and sort it as they had similar problem?

I don't want it to be broken already, any ideas would be gratefully appreciated and if any more info is needed on the laptop just let me know.

Thanks very much.

First of all, uninstall Norton, windows integrated firewall and antivirus is good enough and have less impact on system performance.

    then:

    http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/6202;-;Aspire%20V3-574

select your OS and then download

Atheros wifi drivers and install it

please check the correct Atheros model number before updating drivers.

    Thanks, I will try that.

I don't understand the part about correct Atheros model numbers though?

    Cheers.

There are 2 downloads fo the Atheros wifi adapter on Acer website:

    Wireless LAN Driver (NFA344)

    Wireless LAN Driver (NFA222)

you need to check under device manager, network adapters if there is a mention of this NFAxxx numbers.
