Hi everyone,

I recently installed Windows 7 on my Acer laptop - Specs - and I just can't install the audio drivers. There is a cross on the sound icon in the bottom right corner and I can see a device with the little ! in the device manager but it just won't update. I tried windows update and various third-party software but none worked. When I tried dxdiag but it just says "No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer."

I suspected it was because windows was installed in legacy mode on a mbr disk because I read it could cause some hardware bug, so I tried converting my disk to gpt and boot in uefi but it doesn't change anything.

I downloaded the drivers from Acer's official website but it just crashes my computer.

I just spent the entire day on that and I have no idea what to do next. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks
