Hi! I have a external HDD, which is a 1TB WD My Passport Ultra. This external HDD can be opened and read by other PCs. However, in my laptop, which is a Acer Aspire V15 Nitro, it wasn't reading it. On the other hand, my laptop can read other external HDDs, except the one I own. I've tried looking for a bunch of solutions like uninstalling some gray-colored drivers in the device manager, reformatting my external HDD, etc., but nothing still worked. Note: My laptop was reading my external HDD before, but then, one day, it just stopped reading it for some unknown reason.

Thanks in advance guys!

Have you tried a different usb port?

Yes, I did. All the other ports in my laptop are working fine.

Go to device manager and expand Universal serial bus controllers.

See if there is one there titled unrecognized device. If there is, click it and uninstall the driver.

There is no driver like that in the Universal Serial Bus Controllers. In addition, there are no drivers in the device manager that has a exclamation mark on it.
