Does anyone knows if I can upgrade the memory size (RAM) for Aspire V5-122P-0600? Currently it has only 4GB. If yes, what is the max RAM I can add..? Any free slot available or replace the 4GM one with 8GM RAM is the only option ?

I was looking at the back of the laptop for a Mamory/RAM compartment to uncrew and put the Upgraded RAM on it. I don't see any Memory compartment. How to add the Upgraded memory ? How to Open the back ? Can I add 8GB memory card on the Laptop? Should I have to replace the 2GB one with 8GB. Will the computer recognize ?

I am considering the following 8GB RAM to Upgrade with. Will the computer recognize full 8GB?

    "Crucial 8GB Single 8GB DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL11 SODIMM 204-Pin 1.35V/1.5V Notebook Memory CT102464BF160B"

I added a 8GB Crucial RAM over 2GB OnBoard.. all 10GB is recognized and used by Win 8.1. Acer Tech support team needs a Technical Training on the Acer products to better asist the customers.

@n68Is your laptop still working fine after the 8 gb upgrade.  I wanted to upgrade mine but I'm not sure of what to get since it says in the manufacturers documentation that the max memory is only 6 gb however; I did a crucial scan and it does say that I can add 8 GB.  I saw thsi post and it says that you've actually added 8 gb.  Just want to check if everything is working just fine after that.  I hope to hear from you soon.  Thanks.

    Hi, video link doesn't work.

Can you upload it again or describe how you install new DDR-memory, because I can't install it properly, In BIOS it show me that 10Gb installed, but in Windows(8.1) usage 1.4 Gb only ! and it work veery slow.

Looks like it not support my new memory. Need help, THANKS
