How to remove keyboard from palm rest? (VN7-571G)

Member Posts: 3 New User

Dear all,

I am new in this site. After a long time using VN7-571G laptop I have the problem "r" key does not work (I use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V with "r" letter).

I dissasembled the entire palm rest and for my sourprise keyboard is attached (without screws) to the palm rest.

I want to remove the keyboard from the palm rest because I want to replace only the keyboard and not the entire palm rest. Is it possible?

Note: My version is with backlight.

Thank you very much in advance!

    Hello,

Here is the part number of your original keyboard+upper case:

    Spoiler
    60.MQKN1.002 - UPPER COVER.KEYBOARD.BL.ALA.SPANISH (BL=backlight - ALA=Latin America)

I suggest you to contact your Acer support by phone or by chat. They will give you all the necessary informations.

May be you could directly buy from them or from their partner.

    Hello,

Unfortunately the metal plate is soldered by ultrasonic (industrial process). You'll need the full part: upper cover + keyboard. I need more information to give you this part number:

    • Could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

    Dear,

Thank you very much for your reply.

First ten digits of S/N are: NXMQKAL005

    Thank you again!
