Help with VN7-792G HDMI Resolution

So I connect a 1080p TV to the HDMI port. Detects fine. But when I connect it, it displays in 720p (or something close to it, looks like 720p).

Desktop Right Click > Display Srttings > Select TV > Advanced

The resolution field is empty. Can't set it here, but I can for the built in display. *shrug*

So instead...

Desktop Right Click > Graphics Properties (which is Intel HD Graphics)

I select the TV... It claims to be set at 1920x1080, which is BS.

So now the real fishy part. I set the TV to mirror the built in display. My built in display is now at 720p, but HD Graphics claims I have them set at 1080.

As soon as I disconnect the TV, the resolution on the built in display scales back up to 1080p. Icon sizes change, etc. It's very obvious something is not right.

Any ideas or suggestions? I've tried everything I can think of. Oh and, I'm a Desktop tech. Something like this should be trivial...
