Headset microphone does not pick up my voice

Hello!I am using acer aspire v5-591G and I have toruble with my microphone.I use headset with microphose and I use adapter.Pink is conected with pick and green with green but the microphone does not pick up my voice.I hear some random sounds but not my voice.When I unplug it [using teamspeak's voice test] it switches to the laptop's bad microphone.Someone please help

Hi,
There may be a mute switch or a volume control in the cord, could you please check whether it's been switched off by accident.

I have just found out it is the adapter that does not work[the pink one].The microphone works tough the combo jack but not trough the adapter I just need to gent a new one or an usb sound card
