Hi Guys,

I have V3-572PG-50X5 , qualcomm atheros AR5BWB222 wireless adapter

I check the properties and see that it support Wireless a/b/g/n that means it suports 2 bands 2.4 and 5

Laptop connects to 2.4Ghz band but doesnt connect to 5Ghz band.

what could be the problem?

What brand and model router are you connecting to? Is the router set up to use 5ghz?

I think that the two band one is the 802.11 ac, so if it's only a/b/g/n, it means that is not a dual one, and so you can't. But it is difficult that a new laptop brought 802.11 a/b/g/n, so may be you looked wrong. Anycase your problem surely should be the one that everybody with Acer laptops are having.
