Can't disable Adaptive Brightness

So, I picked up an Acer Aspire VN7-592G this Christmas to replace my old laptop, but I seem to be having some problems with the screen adjusting its brightness constantly with what is being displayed on screen, which I myself find a bit irritating. I've disabled the power saving settings that affect brightness in both the Intel HD Graphics control panel as well as the Windows control panel, but it has made no difference.

According to Acer's website, there's supposed to be a setting in the Acer Quick Access app to disable Adaptive Brightness, but there isn't one in mine. It should be noted that my Quick Access is up to date so that doesn't seem to be the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
