Hi,
If your model is similar to this:http://www.techhypermart.com/notebooks/acer/acer-aspire-v-nitro-vn7-592g-58sj-15-6-laptop-notebook-i5-6300hq-4gb-1tb-nv-gtx960m-w10h.html
Yes, you have M.2 slot, you could get a M.2 SATA SSD or NVMe SSD.

If you transfer large files often, go for NVMe SSD, if not a M.2 SATA drive will be fine(much cheaper as well), I would suggest ADATA but the brand doesn't matter as there are not much difference between them. I have attached a link as an example but go around and look for bargains.

Hi brummyfan2, about the RAM for this model, may I know what kind of brand (RAM) is compatible with this model? I'm thinking to add another 8Gb as the current 4Gb RAM is not enough for video rendering.

Hi,
You can check the specs of your current memory module by installing CPU-z, and get a memory module to match the specification, you don't have to match the brand as long as the specs are same, different brand modules work together but avoid buying memory especially made for Apple, Lenovo laptops.
You can also use Crucial System Scanner to find the matching module.
