Aspire VN7-571G won't recognize internal hard drive

Hello Everyone,

I have just purchased a Aspire VN7-571G yesterday.

After setting everything up and copying all the files from my old laptop to the new one, all of a sudden, it doesn't recognize my internal hard drive anymore and therefore won't boot up windows.

I can access the BIOS but there it doesnt show the hard drive, like there is none.

The computer has been used the whole day without any problems.

Anything I can do to make it recognize it again?

Will there be any way of recovering the hard drive without loosing the already collected data?

Highly appreciate your support!

Thanks,

Frank

if BIOS can't recognise the HDD (on main page is not listed under SATA devices), you can't do pretty much; probably you have a faulty HDD.

I was afraid to get this answer, but youre right.

Brought my laptop to a service station and they suggested that I just go back to the shop and exchange for a new one.

    Anyways, thanks for your help!
