Aspire V5 Touchpad gestures do not work on startup

I have a problem with my touchpad:  every time I restart my computer, or turn it on after it has been off, the gestures on my touchpad, such as scrolling, do not work; all I can do is point and click.  If I want to use the touchpad, I have to open Control Panel> Hardware and Sound> (Devices and Printers)> Mouse> ELAN> Options> Set all to default> Apply/OK.  doing this every time i restart my computer is very annoying, and is time consuming.

Does anyone Know anyting that I can download or install so that my mouse can function fully without having to cange settings every time, or if there is something else (settings) that i can cange?  If you can't help, please at least let me know that you have the same problem?

Thank you!

    JakeB613,

Has it ever worked correctly? If so, it could have been an update or application that did not install correctly and just needs fixed. If you can recall when it worked properly, just perform a system restore to that point and work forward from there.

    Hello, Justin!

I have just upgraded to Windows 10, and somehow that has fixed the touch pad issue.  Now it works perfectly from startup, and I don't have to go through the control panel anymore.  I guess that some patch was included in the upgrade that fixed this issue.

    But thanks anyway!

    Regards,
