Cannot find a way to extract valid bios file to place it in a usb stick for bios recovery using Fn+Esc Meythod.

After BIOS_Acer_2.30_A_A extraction I get:

ZRQ_230.exe.

After ZRQ_230.exe extraction I get :

Ding.wav

FlsHook.exe

FlsHookDll.dll

FWUpdLcl.exe

InsydeFlash.exe

iscflash.dll

iscflash.sys

iscflashx64.sys

platform.ini

xerces-c_2_7.dll

How can I get .fd bios file ?

You pretty much can't. I have extracted everything that can be extracted in a Insyde/Phoenix hybrid bios and found no .fd, .ROM, .BIN, or .WPH.

To ans that question, you can not get it. Because the file is locked by Acer. I have tried every thing under the sun. I know that may sound crazy and all, but it is true. I was abel to talk to certain people that work at Acer and they told me that Acer wont allow it.

So, If a bios is crashed there is no way to recover it ? ? ?

Yes you can recover from a bios crash. What you would need to do is reinstall the bios. But of course all of your information is gone as well. You will have to go the sight othat you computer is made from, and reinstall the bios. Like if you have a Dell computer, then you would go to DELL.COM to get the current bios system for your computer.

Let me ask what you was doing that made the bios to crash?

Why are we talking about DELL.

I have an ACER ASPIRE V5-473 which cannot post due to a crashed bios.

Bios Recovery Procedure is working but acer does not provide a valid bios file for that procedure ? ? ?

Bios could crash due to various reasons . . .

One of these is problematic bios . . .that i am thinking is my issue.

ASPIRE V5-473 original bios was 2.24

    2.25

    2.28

    2.29

    2.30

And if you have a working machine, you cannot backup your bios in case of a problem ? ? ?

You can backup the Bios in your system but this should be done as soon as you get the computer. Let me ask you did you do a FULL back at any point before any of this happened?

I would really like to know how that can be done with the current 2.0 bios download.
