Aspire V5-123-3466 support 8gb ram?

I realize that there wouldnt be that much point of 8 gb with the measly AMD E1-2100, but I was thinking if installing faster higher capcity RAM and an SSD to breath more usability into the netbook/subnotebook and extend its battery.

Currently it seems to only address 3.4gb of the 4gb of installed RAM under Windows 10 64bit. I don't know if that's because memory is reserved for the GPU or it is just has a limited memory controller.

Interestingly, it has 4gb of DDR3L 1600 install when I thougt the SoC only supported 1333.

Your laptop supports up to 4Gb (1x4Gb).
Kingston: Up to 8Gb (I suggest you this one)
Crucial: Up to 8Gb

Thanks for the reply! Is it only able to address 3.4gb of the 4gb because of the GPU or limitation of the hardware??

3.4Gb instead of 4Gb or 7.1Gb instead of 8Gb: allocated to hardware by Windows.
