Aspire V Nitro has no power

I have a 17" Aspire V Nitro Black Edition. About a week ago, it wouldn't wake up. It was plugged in, but the power light was not on. I have tried 3 different power cords, hoping the power supply was bad, but that's not it. I have tried resetting the internal battery using the paper clip method, waiting 4-5 minutes and reconnecting power, but that hasn't worked either. I guess it's a problem with the connection between the power and motherboard, or the motherboard itself. Does anyone have any other ideas?

It's not under warranty. I've never had any problems at all with this machine. What are my options?

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your Acer Nitro. Based on the information provided you have done the troubleshooting we would have suggested. At this point I would recommend repair, as this could be a mainboard issue. Send us a private message with the serial number and we'll see what we can do to help you.
