Trying to use SAS data on my laptop.  Aspire V IntelCore i5-4210U.  Chip per Intel supports virtualization (VT-x), but when I go into BIOS there is no option to turn on VT-x under any of the tabs.  Any other ideas how to turn on VT-x for this series lap top?  Seems VT-x on lap tops comes turned off from what I have read.

    Hi,

If your BIOS is up to date and you don't have any option to enable VT-X that means that the manufacturer (Acer) did not enable the setting, and doesn't provide any option which would let you to enable the VT-X.

The only option would be if you find a moded BIOS for your notebook (or create one).

However be careful because if the BIOS is not good for any reason, it can render your computer useless.
