I have Acer VN7-791G and my 860m is never past 66 degree so it is very cold.So i want overclock too much (I don't see any problem).I already overclocked +135 (core clock). But I want to past that limit.I tried to edit vbios but nvflash and gpu-z not saved it. gpu-z says bios reading not supported nvflash says ERROR: Error: Display adapter's EEPROM ID process failed.I tried acer's offical vbios 1.11 opened it.I extracted exe and fd file with phoenixtool. in extracted dump files i can open a 102kb file with maxwwell bios tweaker then changed base core clock (1020 to 1100).But i can't repack it again phoenixtool need slic file. And i can't flash that edited 102kb file too.any suggestions?

  • Just telling us you're doing this can void your warranty.

Even if any of us knew any of this, Acer company forums is not the right place for it.

You need to go  to some of the Overclocker's forums or Biosmods.

These Bios are Phoenix/Insyde Hybrid bios's and I don't think you can do much of anything with them.
