I have an Aspire V5-571, Live Updater indicates a new software update for Intel VGA Driver is ready to be installed. However, after clicking the install button, then "Finish", there is a red icon saying a system reboot is needed. I've tried restarting my computer several times, and keep getting the same error message. How do I install this? Please help! Thank you.

yes and it's strange the Acer live update offers a VGA update for your laptop, since it's not on Acer's eligible list:

can you please check the version installed?

    windows logo key + x

    device manager

    click on Display adapter

    double click on Intel VGA

    click on Drivers tab

    report the drivers version

I've upgraded my laptop to Windows 10. I went to the support website and the Intel VGA driver they have available for download is an older version I believe, than what I have now. It says 2013.

Intel HD Graphics 4000 version. I searched online and found a Windows 10 community and found I have to do a "soft" install or manual install? I clicked on the Intel driver tab and updated the driver, or Windows found the software on my laptop and updated it.  Since then, no more messages! Solved. Thank you for your help!
