Acer Aspire V5-561PG turns off when closing lid
I've had my Acer Aspire V5-561PG for around 5 months now, and there haven't been any issues with it until recently. It started after the latest Windows 8 update.
Whenever I close the lid the lapop just shuts off. I've changed the settings to sleepmode/energy-saving-mode (they're in Swedish for me so don't know the exact translation) but it still shuts down. The only thing that worked was setting it to "do nothing", but I don't want that.
It almost seems like the laptop crashes, it takes very long for it to start after I open the lid. It also takes longer than before to start it from being shut off manually.
I don't know what to do, any tips or solutions?

I did some searching and found that apparently USB-devices such as mice can make it crash, so I did some changing there. I also updated my graphics card drivers to the latest and now it doesn't crash anymore. Not sure which of the two did it, but I'm just glad it works, thanks for the help anyway

Windows 8.1 updates can be iffy recently. Go to Windows Update and change it to not download and install updates automatically. Go to Programs and Features/View Installed Updates and uninstall the updates that caused this.I would say reinstall the Power management, but I see Acer doesn't show it. You can use this guide to try reinstalling it from Recovery:
If none of this fixes the problem, do a Recovery of the system.

I uninstalled the updates, that didn't work.
I reinstalled the Power Management, that didn't work.
I haven't done a recovery of the system because I am not sure what will happen. Will everything be removed from my laptop? And how do I do said recovery?

It will delete everything, but it will leave you with a factory drive where everything worked. You should save your personal data to a USB drive.Take a look at Windows Easy Transfer in Windows search.
Before you do that, try running checkdisk.
http://www.tekrevue.com/tip/how-to-scan-fix-hard-drives-with-chkdsk-in-windows-8/ You'll enter chkdsk /f , enter and yes.
