Acer Aspire V3-572G-72LR driver broadcom problem

I have a laptop Acer Aspire V3-572G-72LR.

I am having serious problems with the 802.11n broadcom driver.

1. When I bought it, with Windows 8 64 bits, the driver version was 6.30.223.10 (31/5/2013). It worked well.

2. Some days later, Windows updated the driver to a version of 2014. Then the problems started:

- If you switch off the wireless card, you cannot switch it on again.

- If you hibernate the laptop, the next time you start it, it starts normally (not from hibernation).

- If you suspend the laptop, it does not suspend, and it does not restart.

3. So I used the option: Go back to previous driver version, and everything was fixed.

4. Yesterday I upgraded to Windows 10. It updated the driver to a new version, so all the problems came back. The driver was from 2014.

5. I have updated the driver to version 7.35.267.0 (15/5/2015), but the problems persist.

So I conclude that there is a problem with the drivers, starting from 2014.

The question is that Windows 10 does not allow me to go back to the old driver. In addition, Windows 10 is supposed to force you to use the latest versions.

What can I do? If the driver is not fixed, it will be impossible to use Windows 10. I will have to go back to Windows 8.

    josesaldana,

Uninstall the driver and restart, let Windows install a driver and see if it works.

    Hi,

Last week I went back to Windows 8.1 (fortunately, Windows 10 can be removed during a month).

I have followed your advice: uninstalling the driver and letting Windows install it. As a result, Windows 8 has installed the driver 6.30.223.234, and all the problems have come back:

    - If you switch off the wireless card, you cannot switch it on again.

    - If you hibernate the laptop, the next time you start it, it starts normally (not from hibernation).

    - If you suspend the laptop, it does not suspend, and it does not restart.

So, fortunately, I had a restore point and, after 1 hour, the laptop is again as two hours ago.

I'm afraid your advice was totally useless. The problem is in the driver. If you don't fix the driver, we can install and uninstall forever, but the problem will persist.
