I have an aspire s7 392 which came with win 8 home.I have legal copies of win 7 pro (64) and upgrade to win 8 pro (64) which has bitlocker (which I need) which are not installed on any other machine.I want to reformat the s7 and install these. I have seen in other places that there may be problems with this so any help would be appreciated. For example do I need to change the UEFI to LEGACY first in the cmos? and what if any do I need to do about the RAID0 ssds?
Thanks in advance for any advice EXCEPT from ACER telling me not to do what I want on a machine I PAID FOR.

I upgraded to Win8.1 Pro over the original Win8.0 Home on the same day I received my new S7-392-9890 last September (after making a Macrium Reflect disk image backup). The only issue I recall (not necessarily related to the Win8.1 Pro upgrade) was a corrupted Microsoft linked admin account which was easily taken care of using my local admin account. I am using original installed software and drivers (that I kept on the machine). I am using the original SSD RAID 0 setup. I did NOT change the UEFI to LEGACY mode. I am not using Bitlocker but do use a small Truecrypt encrypted volume for data.
