I've tried connecting my Aspire V5-122P to my Sony Bravia but it shows "No Signal". Since my Aspire only has the mini-display port I've tried the following but still, it doesn't work:
1. mini-display port - VGA/HDMI cable
2. mini-display port - HDMI cable
I hope someone could help me out.
PS.
I've tried connecting my Apire before to a projector via mini-display port - VGA cable and it worked fine.

Have you tried, connecting projector and your laptop, to press Fn+F5?
or
right click on desktop, Screen resolution and check if system can find the projector?

Thanks for your reply IronFly, but as mentioned it works when I connect my laptop to my projector. My problem is I get the "No Signal" error whenever I connect my laptop to my tv. And yes I've tried Fn+F5 & even Fn+F6.

Yup, I've selected the correct HDMI input port. My TV has 2 HDMI ports (I'm using HDMI 2).
When I select, Extend these display option (I forgot the exact label), screen 1 is assigned to my Aspire and screen 2 is assigned to my Sony Bravia. Even if I change the resolution in my laptop screen, nothing happens.
The model of my Bravia is KLV-32R422B

The best resolution for your TV is 1920x1080 60hz
have you tried both HDMI?
Your TV works with other HDMI devices?

I'm trying to use the I'm connecting the HDMI from my tv to my laptop through the mini-display port since my Aspire V5-122P doesn't have any VGA or HDMI slot.
Unfortunately, I don't have any other HDMI device as of the moment.

Since your V5 HDMI works with the projector, i think the problem is more related to your TV.
By the way i found that the ideal resolution is NOT 1920x1080 but instead 1366x768 60Hz
i suggest you to:
power off your TV, disconnect AC cable from TV and wait 5 minutes; then plug AC back and with your laptop connected to the HDMI via HDMI, turn ON the TV and see if this works.
Have you ever check if your TV has any firmware/software update available?
Also turn OFF every option on "Bravia sync settings"

Thanks for your very active and prompt reply Sir IronFly.
I'll try your suggestion later when I get home and give you a feedback regarding its outcome tomorrow. Hope this would work.
