Successful dual boot with openSUSE 13.1 in UEFI, USB install

I am a beginner when it comes to linux. I own the S7-392. Secure boot option was disabled at the time, though not necessary.
The openSUSE team did such a good job, everything worked right out of the box. I used their ImageWriter to put the iso on the USB.
Before the installation I already had shrunk my main partition using Windows Disk Manager, but this is not necessary.

There is a little bug with screen being auto dimmed at first boot, so you might have to press Fn + RightArrow (because thats the key to increase brightness). Encountered another small bug when changing screen resolution.

Other than that, the KDE (desktop environment that I chose to install) is pristine, elegant, and extremely usable right out of the box. A perfect match for S7's stylish looks. Great for beginners like myself.

Before openSuse, I had some problems with Mint 16 and Fedora 20, being recognized on the USB at boot times and even running in live version (not even talking about installing). I have Mint 16 on my other desktop, but it didn't acclimate to the S7 very well.  I just didn't have the skills / time necessary to fix the issues.

That's all I know at the moment. Hope this helps you. God bless.
