My computer sound is like it's echoing in a cave. I can't get the sound to be normal. Any suggestions?

Have you tried connecting headphones to see if the sound is echoing through them too?

If the sound is OK through headphones, then it will point to the onboard speakers at fault. If it is echoing through them too, then try the following:

Go to Control panel, and select your sound manager program (usually Realtek, but may be other). There should be a "Sound Effect" tab. Click on it and make sure the environment option is set to none.

Post back if you have any further problems.

It did echo through the headphones. I had to reinstall a sound driver or something. It's fixed. Thanks.
