I am recently seeing VERY poor wifi connectivity.  Every 20 mins or so my wifi keeps disconnecting but reconnects after the troubleshooter takes care of it or I disconnect and reconnect.  This happens at home as well as at work.  NO other computers/devices connected to the same wifi router(s) are affected, only this laptop.

I have the Acer Aspire M5-581T_071A_V2.09

Running Win 8.1 

WiFi is Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 

driver says Microsoft 3.0.1.155 date of 5/3/2013

running "Driver Update" from the device mgr says drivers are up to date.

Getting the same problems on my Aspire V5 571P.
It tends to be perfectly fine during the day, but then after about 7-8pm it'll start dropping repeatily. It gets more frequent the later it gets.

Dear friend, 

          If wirless connection keep dropping sometime, it could be due to the driver software issue, you shall uninstall(Don't uncheck where it says Delete this driver software) Wirlesss driver software and restart the computer(make sure you have saved you work before restarting your computer) by doing this the same wireless driver software will be reinstall by the operating system it self. Then check your internet connection it should be working,
