I purchased this lemon in September 2013. It has been nothing but problems.  It has been to repair 3 times and still doesn't work right.  The touch screen wasn't uniformally sensitive. Then it wouldn't update to 8.1.  The bluetooth connections wouldn't work. Spent hours and hours on the phone with tech support. Finally sent it back to acer.  Got it back today and it still has problems. The keyboard lags the input by 2 seconds.  Impossible to use the keyboard for typing. Hit a key wait 2 seconds and maybe it appears on the screen.  The Windows button on the screen doesn't work either. Add to that 3rd world tech support who do not listen to your problem or just don't understand you.  I am totally disgusted and frustrated with this expensive paper weight.

If it still has problems then send it back for a re-repair ?

 

Does it now have the original factory install of Windows on it ? Not W8.1 ?

 

If W8.1 is installed not following a precise order of events then you will encounter many problems.

 

What process did you follow to install W8.1 ?

2 years @ college studying microcomputer technology, 3 years @ uni studying computing informatics, 1 year soldering chips & connectors onto mainboards, 8 years in a repair centre dealing with every problem under the sun, 1 year IT Support Helpdesk. I have a little knowledge, lets use it !
