Hello,
I am new to this forum. My friend has an Acer M5-581T with a bad keyboard. I removed the old one and ordered a new one. While removing the bad keyboard I had trouble with some of the tiny screws that hold the keyboard to the frame(45 of them).
This job has turned into a nightmare. Anyway, I ruined some of these small screws and need to replace them. They are the tinyiest screws I have ever seen. I can barely see them.
Does anyone know what size they are so I can order some more? Can anyone point me to a service manual that would have a list of screws for this model? Can anyone guess what size they would be? They are about the size of the head of a pin.
Really really tiny.
Anyone thinking about replacing a keyboard in this model should think twice. You have to get the exact keyboard model or some keys may not fit the frame. I have ordered my second keyboard. You have to unseal the back of the keyboard to get to the screws. Very time consuming.
Thanks for any hints

The screws are M1.4 x 1.0
Screw count is 46 not 45!

Thank you for your reply. I am really impressed that you had the answers to my questions. And that you knew how many screws I needed was totally impresive. Thank You!!!
I will order the screws today.
Do you know how I could find a service manual for this laptop? It is Acer Timeline Ultra M5-581T-6807.
Thank you again. This forum is awesome.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to provide you with sources of service guides.
However, it's no secret that many are 'out there'. Google is your friend - be persistent (and drop 'Timeline Ultra' and -6807)!
