Is there any driver I left out on WIndows 8.1 that might be causing this to happen? I cant even install IRST. I have ME installed. Also, does the BIOS update ruin this?

Sometimes video drivers can affect the way systems sleep. You may try looking at that.

Also, they just released an update or service pack thing for 8.1. Have you tried loading that, to see if it fixes it?

Not sure about the BIOS update. You could always update the BIOS to see if it helps. Couldn't hurt, as long as you follow the instructions and use the AC adapter so the system doesn't die during the update.
