Hi, I really need some help with the function key on the Acer Aspire V7.

Every single time I press the function key to change the volume or brightness, since you must press it to change each, the function key tunrs on the touch only and number lock, as well as not leting me turn up or down my brightness and volume. It does this without fail each time I try to enhance the volume or brightness, and it gets very aggrivating, since I use those functions extremely often. Pleasee, please help me in any way you can, I would really appreciate it.

Try to install the latest Launch manager:
