I bought my daughter a refurbished Aspire v5-552-8404 from the official Acer ebay store exactly one year and one day ago. She just told me that it had quit charging but WAS working when plugged in, but now it won't turn on at all. I told her to 1) replace the power cord & brick and if that didn't work 2) replace the battery.  But she said she couldn't see anywhere on the bottom where she could take the battery out and replace it. Is the battery replaceable? Is this a known problem?  (NOTE TO SELF: Next time buy an extended warranty!)

V5 doesn't have a standard external battery pack, it's all inside the notebook chassis, so you got to open the back completly.

Is this a known issue with these? Do the power cords go bad or do the batteries? Any other options we might consider?
