I just purchased a brand new Acer Aspire S7-392-6832. I am trying to boot to a USB drive to install a copy of Windows I have, but the computer itself is not booting into the BIOS so I can change the boot settings.
From the manual it says you use <Fn> + <2> to access the BIOS, I have tried this many times and no matter how I try this combination while the acer logo is displayed, it does not boot to the bios it just loads the acer image that is on the internal HD. Is there some special trick to get this to work? I looked online and tried disabling the Hybrid Shutdown/Fast Startup optin in the acer image that is installed on the HD, but it did not make any difference. Is there any other way to boot into the BIOS, or is there something simple I am missing? At this point I'm wondering if the laptop is defective and I just need to return it?

The system ships with Windows 8 64-bit. What are you attempting to install?
