Hi everybodey.
I got this problem after updating to win 8.1, every time the laptop goes on standby, it wakes up with messed screen.
the resolution stays the same, but half of the screen goes beyond borders, and the colors get rainbowish...
It also happens as I connect an external monitor.
changing the resolution to lower doesn't help...
In order to suttle it up, I force turn the laptop off by pressing the power button for a couple of seconds...
I tryed to look for solution and found out that many similar broblems showed up to many other users, but on different machines... and the mess starts after the 8.1 update.
Anyway, I tryed to reinstall the graphic drivers in a several ways:
regular installation, tryed to change the compabilty mode on the setup file to windows 7, and 8 after it.
I tryed to update the driver but still have the issue...
Help please...
I got the Aspire v5-572
Intel Core i3-2375M
Intel HD Graphics 3000
And I also didn't do any change in hardwere...
Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear you are having video issues when resuming from sleep. I see you have tried updating the video drivers, what drivers did you try installing? We have a Windows 8.1 intel graphics driver version 10.18.10.3304. If that is the driver you tried, then you could try visiting Intel's official website and see if they have a more up-to-date driver than we offer.
Another suggestion would be to disable sleep for the time being or reload your computer back to Windows 8 when the systems sleep and graphics are working properly.
