Hi.

I'm experiencing hopelessly unstable Wi-Fi connection in a household where no other laptops or devices are having any trouble at all. The selected wi-fi is still active but claims that there is "No internett access"

Model: Aspire V (573PG)
Window 8.1 (latest updates as of 31.aug)

Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter Driver version: 10.0.0.263

This kind of sounds obvious but I have multiple laptops fighting over each other in my house sometime because of the Wifi channel that's on my router. Changing the channel usually allowed them all to be happy again.

Have you considered doing a hard reset of the router by taking a pin or a ball point pen, doing a hard reset and then seeing if the behavior exists?

Tried that without any luck, and the Acer laptop has trouble no mather how few other devices that utilize the wi-fi.

Are you sure to have an Atheros-WLAN modul? Acer uses 3 different modules in the Aspire V 573G ...
